One Piece: Pirate Warriors 2 is an action game developed by Omega Force and published by Bandai. It is the sequel to One Piece: Pirate Warriors. Due to the success of the first game, this sequel was released the following year. The album was released in Europe on August 30, 2013 and in the US the September 3, 2013.
The game no longer uses the canon as the original story. Instead, use the original story that takes place two years after the Straw Hat Pirates entered the New World. The battle has changed to focus more on the game of soldiers, and the player must fight through more enemies than the previous game. Quick time events of the first game has been removed completely. The game also comes with a currency system, where players can spend the money they get from the stage for a new character level up fast, not a train of level 1.
One important change from the previous game is how support is handled. Players can build an indicator of support throughout the game, and use it to enter the "Style mode". In this mode you have the option to switch temporarily character and play as a new character to support indicators exhausted. Style mode also provide different benefits depending on the characters used: Character "weapons" do more damage when attacking while the character "observation" effective slow downtime, while still maintaining normal speed.
